Web Design

Pacific Rim is a print magazine that is written, designed and published by Publishing students at Langara College. My roles in the 2017 re-design of the magazine’s website were Web Designer and Quality Assurance Specialist.

As a Web Designer, I collaborated with a small Web Design team to produce the graphic mockups for the website’s templates including the home page, single story page, about page, contributors page, category landing pages, and year archives. My main contribution was the single story page.

As part of the Quality Assurance team, I helped to thoroughly test the designs produced by the WordPress team with current browsers and major mobile devices. We used a bug tracking system to track issues and assign tasks to be completed by various departments.

The website won First Place for Website of the Year (Two-Year) at the College Media Association 2017 Pinnacle Awards.
